TRADITIONAL WEDDING IN SARDINIA
Grazia and Gavino celebrated their wedding in Ossi, Sardinia, choosing to preserve some of the island’s most meaningful traditional wedding customs. The day began at the bride’s family home, where Gavino arrived to meet Grazia. Surrounded by their closest relatives, the couple received their families’ blessing before leaving together for the church. The journey to the ceremony became part of the wedding itself. Guests accompanied the couple in procession while people from the village waited to welcome them with the traditional throwing of grain and breaking of plates, gestures associated with good fortune and prosperity. These traditions are deeply connected to Sardinian culture, yet the emotions of the day remained completely natural. Grazia and Gavino’s meeting was intimate and moving, one of those moments when everything happening around a couple seems to disappear. After the ceremony, the celebration continued at Buena Vista in Ossi with an outdoor dinner beneath a canopy of lights. Books were the theme of the wedding, appearing throughout the styling and details with an elegant and personal touch.
